NEW WAYS TO DISCOVER



Next Friday, we'll introduce another way for customers to discover new makers and perfects gifts on OOAK Online. But first, we need your help! Our new OOAK Gift Shop curates gift guides based on the Custom Filters in your product listings, like Free Shipping, Local Pickup, Gender and more. Make sure that you have added these filters to any of your relevant products so that they appear in these new guides before we invite shoppers to explore.

Throughout the show, we must all continue to teach our customers new ways to shop One Of A Kind Online. The more we invite them to discover different features, programming, products and promotions, the more likely they are to spend their dollars supporting local this holiday season! So, use these different shopping experiences, like MatchMaker, Wander the Aisles from A to Z, Shop by ProvinceBrowse the Show Guide categories or the new OOAK Gift Shop to invite customers create new traditions for shopping One Of A Kind online!

Latest Patches

  • NEW! The Latest Posts display on your Profile has now been removed.
  • NEW! Customers can now share Wishlists to help eager gift givers check everything off their lists.



     
  • The mobile version of OOAK Online will now display all available images for each product listing.
  • Product Update Webhooks overwriting additional categories on OOAK Online was flagged and a patch was released on October 27. 
  • Product Update Webhooks overwriting additional tags on OOAK Online was flagged and a patch was released on November 1. 
  • Sold out inventory on Shopify not updating on OOAK Online has been resolved. If you are not seeing inventory status updated, try updating the product listings to trigger the Product Update webhook. And rest assured that customers will not be able to purchase items that are Out Of Stock items in your Shopify shop through OOAK Online, as the final sale will be prevented by your own site.
     

Common Reason for Product Listing Errors

Products Not Made By You

Please make sure that you are only selling any items in your Store that are made by you or your company. Though we recognize that an online marketplace makes it easier to offer a wide variety of items, we ask that you help us maintain the integrity of our brand by abiding by the same rules and acceptance criteria for participating in our physical event.


 


OTHER NEWS



Much like our customers must learn new ways to shop One Of A Kind, we must learn new metrics for success in our virtual show environment. We've added two new metrics to your Analytics dashboard to give you reporting on products that are added to basket and baskets that proceed to checkout. And we encourage you to use every opportunity to build your business on OOAK Online, from closing sales to building your mailing list and participating in marketing additional exposure.
 

We've updated our instructions for adjusting your product listing categories to help avoid introducing any errors in the reupload process. If you haven't yet, please take a moment to review your product categories to help improve the shopping experience for all!
 

Next Thursday, November 26, we encourage you to share our favourite OOAK memories on social--whether it's old show photos and keepsakes, a selfie with the OOAK tree filter or connecting with a favourite show friend. Since next Thursday also preceeds Black Friday, let's also take this opportunity to remind customers the importance of shopping small and supporting the local economy this holiday season! If you are having trouble with your Shopify synchronization, please take a moment to read these common troubleshooting solutions. If you do ultimately need to resync your Store, please ensure you do so during the below listed times each week.
