Jade is a Toronto-based artist, educator, and designer using glass and mixed media to explore intimate connection and human exchange. Colour has always been the foundation of my artistic language. My paintings are a marriage of representational art and abstraction; interpreting my response to my fascination with nature - primarily large bodies of water and expansive skies. For me, painting is an adventure; full of challenges, discoveries and rewards.

Following her BFA, Janet pursued a career in graphic design and interactive media. In 2016 she returned to fine art and has been building her studio practice since then. Her work is in collections in Canada, the US and the UK, and has been seen in Style at Home, Uppercase, and on HGTV Home Tours. Janet recently moved from Toronto to Nova Scotia.

I take everyday objects and create layered compositions meant to invoke a sense of reflection, mystery and curiosity in the viewer. Using colour and texture the compositions are dreamlike, yet recognizable. I want to engage the viewer to look beneath the surface, find a surprise, and escape into an alternate reality.

Born and raised in the Netherlands, Jeanette worked as a Delft Blue Pottery painter before she obtained her BFA in fine arts. Two country moves later, she works as a graphic designer, and continues to paint and teach. Jeanette enjoys painting plein air, lives in Paris, ON and her work depicts the surrounding area, or wherever her travels take her.

A creative couple that combine their respective backgrounds in graphic design and photography to create bold colour statements with places and objects. Everyday items are given eye-popping transformations, floating in a sea of intense colour. Shadows and light are replaced with contrasting tones and reflective elements are given new depth.

Julya Hajnoczky was born in Calgary and raised by hippie parents, surrounded by unruly houseplants, bookishness and art supplies, with CBC radio playing softly, constantly, in the background. Her multidisciplinary practice seeks to ask questions and inspire curiosity about the complex relationships between humans and the natural world.

Justin Blayney is a Toronto-based artist and graphic designer. He uses geometric shapes and pixelated patterns to create optical illusions in his figurative and abstract acrylic paintings and screen prints. Justin studied Fine Art at the Dundas Valley School of Art, and he has exhibited widely across Ontario.
