Born in Romania, Ilinca Ghibu lives and works in Montreal. She developed a unique floral language that characterizes her work. Her style is expressive, spontaneous and colorful. Her brushstrokes and her palette are the tangible result of her imagination. Her paintings are shown in galleries in Québec, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia.

I am a Ukrainian-born Canadian artist with BFA majoring in Paining and Drawing from Concordia University currently living and working in Montreal. While oil is my primary painting medium, my body of work includes watercolour and ink drawings and fibre art.

Sourced from women working in food across North America and crocheted in bright yarn, this collection of 180 vessels represents the spectrum of workers in this vast and multitudinous industry - food writers, farmers, grocers, pizzaiolos, chefs, sommeliers, baristas, bakers and oyster shuckers have all contributed pieces to the exhibit.
